    This is a well written, easy to read book available for Kindle. The author includes a free download of a second booklet Called Mind Shifting with the purchase of this book. There is also a free MP2 download of guided meditation if you are not versed in meditation.

    Ms. Thompson covers such topics as What Causes Stress, her Four Step Stress Reduction Process. She covers what each stressor is: physical, psychological, environmental and social. And then she covers ways to work through, and beat, each one.

    As a medical professional, I found the book covers each area adequately, yet speaks to the layman, without talking down to him.

    I found the book quite helpful, and I give it Five Stars.

    And a big Thumbs Up!

    I also give it my Highly Recommended award for anyone who deals with stress routinely, and who doesn’t?

    Vital information that needs to be learned by all, January 13, 2017

    Ms. Thompson has written a very informative and easy-to-read book on how to tackle a problem that affects us all at one time or another. I like the way her writing comes across as if she is a friend offering her advice as opposed to a clinician handing out instructions. The information in this book is excellent and should be mandatory reading for every elementary student old enough to read it. Too many in our society suffer from lack of knowledge on how to handle stress in our lives. Children who aren’t taught strategies such as these too often become teens or even preteens who begin experimenting with drugs as a way to “deal” with stress, ultimately never learning how to cope with negative emotions and instead becoming victims of addiction later in life. Learning these strategies at an early age would surely reduce the likelihood of addiction and/or mental illnesses later on.

    This book is a very practical guide to coping with the stresses of life. It is concise and gets straight to the point of providing tactics to combat stress–some of which can be implemented immediately. I recommend this read for anyone who has ever tried to read more lengthy guides and were just not successful in implementing techniques and sticking with them.
