Hope and Encouragement, this is the not-scary book, May 9, 2015

I love this book so much, written in such clear language and filled with hope and wisdom. When I was going through postpartum depression and anxiety, this book was one that did not scare me or confuse me. I could feel the strength and good instincts of the moms who wrote this book, and it helped me find mine. It is still the first book I suggest to friends and clients. Thank you PPPSS, for this treasure.

This isn’t something I talk about a lot. Not that I’m ashamed of it or anything but I like to concentrate on the positive and that’s hard to do if all you’re talking about is how you suffer from Major Depressive Disorder. Anyway, for the longest time I struggled with my feelings. I had no idea how I felt and therefore couldn’t process my emotions. It took a break-down to make me realize that something was seriously wrong with me. Reading about topics that hit close to home help to reassure me that I’m not the only one which is exactly what depression tells you. Learning from others’ experiences is therapy in itself. If you suffer from a mental illness, or care for someone who does, this book is a must read and a literal life line. Thanks Martin!
